Gamma Xi Chapter of Psi Iota Xi was founded in June of 1951.
We are a philanthropic sorority that funds a number of charitable endeavors. Among these are a Summer Speech Clinic, which has been in existence since 1956. We have served thousands of children in the Montgomery County area who need speech therapy during summer break by providing therapy from licensed clinicians at a greatly reduced rate. We have supported our organization on the national level in donations to cochlear implant research, stuttering research, and more. We have been recognized on the national level as having given the most money per capita to Speech and Hearing. In addition to our interest in Speech and Hearing, Gamma Xi donates regularly to the music programs in all three county schools.
