Our President, Lucas White, currently serves as Chairman-Elect of the Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) and will be elected as Chairman on March 16th. Lucas will be the first person from Indiana to serve as ICBA Chairman. Throughout 2023, Lucas spoke at six different state banking conventions (Alabama, Kansas, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and Nebraska). He also testified before congress on a new regulation called 1071, which will dramatically affect how community banks make small business loans. Lucas says, “I believe community banks are essential to the economy and the communities we serve. We provide local jobs and we help people reach their dreams. That is important enough to me to take the time to do everything in my power to help community banks succeed.
